How it all began
Robert McIsaac left the Muskoka Summer Festival in the summer of 1992 to act in “Jesus Christ Superstar” in
Edmonton, Alberta at The Mayfield Dinner Theatre. After 10 weeks with that show the Artistic Director asked Rob to become the Technical
Director for that theatre and he did. After 2 years with the Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Rob went to Celebrations Dinner Theatre in Edmonton
to help with their faltering productions. Celebrations Dinner Theatre is an interactive theatre where everyone is a character. Working
as the Theatre Manager, Stage Manager and lights & sound, Rob was able to help them out. A New Theatre was opening up in the West
Edmonton Mall and they called Robert to start it up and he accepted the challenge. Jubilation's Dinner Theatre was the newest attraction
at the largest mall in the world. After his 6 month contract was up, Robert decided to come back to Muskoka and bring a little of
his knowledge with him. So with a packed van, and a successful children’s play that he had written, Robert made his way back to Ontario.
After 12 years of writing and performing musical comedies at the many resorts in and around Muskoka, has brought Robert to this
moment in time.
THE TOURING COMPANY
The Touring Company is an interactive, high energy, entertainment troop. We travel to various resorts in the Muskoka area performing interactive musical comedies(most of which have been written, directed, and produced by Robert McIsaac). With the experience, knowledge, and true passion of Robert McIsaac, and the amazingly talented individuals who make up the troop, our Touring Company has become very successful. There is nothing more rewarding then being on stage singing, dancing, acting, and having a great time with the audience. You just never know when you might be pulled up on stage and become part of the show.
